Favorite Things about the UK

1. The word Keen.

For all those Americans reading this, 'keen,' is a word that describes someone who is super eager or all-in. This can be one person's attitude toward another person, as in 'she's keen for him' or this can just describe someone. Saying someone is 'keen' is a lot like saying they're 'bright-eyed and bushy-tailed' in the US. It's that super-excited, energetic, slightly frightening personality. It's a great word

2. Tea

That they drink tea (or any hot drink, really) more than they drink water. When in Britain...

3. Their accents

I have grown slightly accustomed to this and thus notice it less and less, however, when I do notice it and then think of the American accent I remember how awesome their accents are.

4. London

Best city in the world - personal opinion.

5. Music

Mumford and Sons, the Beatles, Laura Marling, Johnny Flynn, some might put one direction in there... mmm. Let's not. And if they didn't produce it, they get it - ingrid michaleson, The Lumineers, Needtobreathe. Ok. Now I'm just listing my favorite music. You get it.

6. Trains.

7. The landscape (especially in the UK)

The Scottish highlands have to be one of the most beautiful places on earth.

8. Their sense of humour

That dry, witty, sharp sense of humour. Wonderful.

9. The architecture
